Everything is said and done about the tying ways of scarves for women, even I had written various articles based on scarf tying methods for ladies however there is no end to it because as long as long colorful and alluring scarves will remain as a part of human wear until then new techniques of tying scarves will be developed. So, if you have tried the tested methods of wrapping scarves, you need to take further steps and move on to some exciting ways of wearing such a beautiful piece of clothes.

To look different and outstanding from rest of the crowd use the methods provided below to tie scarf.

• One of the simple and elegantly tying methods of scarf is Lark’s head knot. As this knot work with any kind of outfit, it will be in favour to know how to tie a scarf in this manner. Place your scarf around neck leaving one side slightly longer than other. Bend the longer side to form a loop, now fold this loop in half from bending point in outside direction; this will result in creating of two smaller loops. Next, pick another side of scarf and insert it through smaller loops. Wear this scarf tightly or let it loose. Want to change the height of knot, slide it up and down while holding loosed side.

• The kind of knot is Josephine knot. May be it appear like a pretzel but it is a large knot. This is the knot which has many wrong drawings people fail to understand the real way of tying scarf in this manner. While tying scarf’s ends must be in opposite direction and crossing should be in position of alternate up, down, up and so on. To tie such a larger knot use narrow width scarf of light weight material for instance rayon, satin or silk scarves. Now to tie it place the scarf around the neck, the loose ends should be equal in length. Grab the one side of scarf and role in hands towards and upward of body to create a loop. The loose end must be in back of your hand. Bring the other side of scarf where loop formed but behind of loose side. Place it above the loop and feed it up over itself. Pull it after inserting back into loop. You can keep the ends loose or tight. If want keep the knot for another use, you can do that, just pull the scarf over head and keep it for another use.

• The last one is bowline Knot. This is most beautiful way of tying a scarf. To tie, place the scarf around neck. The sides of scarf must have equal endings. Now cross one (1st) side of scarf over another (2nd) to form a loop. Bring the 1st side under the loop and pass through it. After that take the same side underneath of 2nd, insert it in already formed loop. Now pull the second side but not tightly and adjust it.

The above stated three types of womens scarves knotting appear more inclined towards decorative purpose but rest assured such tying ways look awesome as well as provide warmth and comfort. Scarves for men can also be used to create these wonderful knots.

Methods of Tying Long and Small Silk Scarves

Silk scarves are forever in use. As an important accessory to main wear they protect from unwanted climatic elements and makes the wear look fashionable. Sometimes they are only worn for style making purpose. Silk scarves of myriad designs and fabrics are available all year around depending upon the climatic variation of a specific region. So, when season changes checkout in wardrobe for the various scarves of silk you have. If you don’t have then brought a few because they are not only utilitarian but also in fashion, styling outfits.

Now you have silk scarf, the next thing is how to tie it? Although there is no specific way of tying a scarf as it can be worn in anyway innovatively yet I am suggesting you three different methods of tying.

Style1. Small square shaped scarf of soft silk can be tied as headscarf. Make a beautiful flower pattern and tie it. But how to make a flower pattern, here is the method – place your scarf in a flat surface and bring the two opposite ends, make a simple small two double knots. Insert the one untied end beneath the earlier made knots, do the same for last leaving end. Pull both the untied ends in opposite directions but not tightly. Now turn it and pull out the flower. Place it over your head or neck for tying. Make double knot to tie. Chiffon blend small silk scarf is a bit harder in texture so use as neck scarves only. Tie them in a manner they form a triangle under the chin or make flower pattern.

Style2. Long Scarves of silk can be worn in various ways. The lengths of the scarves provide the opportunity to convert them in different styles. Soft textured colorful scarves of silk are most suitable for evening parties. Womens scarves can be exploited as accessory to other accessories for instance tying them around the handle of handbags, wrap around the brim of hat or use as belt for pants. For a flower knot on long scarf, place it around neck. Bring the two hanging ends and twist them together until they tightened to form a loop. While twisting check for tightness and twisting patterns because flower foramen only by twisting. Now bring the tail inside the loop. For more effective visual and gracious look fit the flower pattern of scarf to neck. To avoid staff feel leave the extra length from one end of scarf.

Style3. There is another way of tying scarf called hacking knot. Fold your scarf and pace around the neck. In side of scarf where loop is formed place one hand in it. Now insert the one loose end through the loop. Again open up the loop to place hand beneath the already inserted strand of loose end. Now insert another loose end in the loop and pull it. Your hacking knot is ready. This knot will provide very warm feel around neck and suits to your almost all outfits.

Yes, I do agree that mens silk scarves probable tied in a way I suggested above that is why in my next submission I will bring the different methods of tying mens scarves.

Many religions follow different dress code but the common thing among them is scarf. We can see many women wearing modest dress covering their heads or faces with scarves which is something deep into their religion and culture. Married Jewish women wear tichel to cover hair and men wear tallit for prayer. In Sikh religion long scarves are used as bandana to cover head by boys and sometimes by girls, before going to next level of turban. Some older Sikh wraps their head under bandana then use turban over it.
For Muslim women there is strict dress code. It must for them to cover head with two headscarves known as hijab and khimar and a veil to cover face. Keffiyeh is a kind of scarf used by Muslim men. In Christianity too scarves have their own place. They are used in liturgical vestments and commonly known as stole.
In use since centuries, scarves are now one of the most important trades for some countries. China and India are the two leading manufacturers of fashion scarves. Their handmade scarves are seen as masterpiece of art and as perfect option to gift someone and printed scarves are part of leading international brands like Prada and Missoni.
